Art Mode works best when the television stops behaving like a showroom display. A few considered settings can make a surprisingly large difference. The aim is not to chase a perfect setting or a fashionable look, but to make a display that continues to feel right after the first impression has passed.
Start with brightness
Begin lower than you would for television or film. Artwork generally looks more natural when highlights are restrained and dark areas still have room to breathe.
Check the setting from the sofa rather than standing directly in front of the screen. The room, not the menu, is the final judge.
A useful test is to place a white sheet of paper beside the screen for a moment, then remove it and look again from your usual seat. If the display feels like a light source rather than a picture, it is still brighter than it needs to be.
Keep the colour believable
Warmth and colour intensity are personal, but over-saturated settings can make a quiet landscape feel lit from within. Reduce intensity until the image feels connected to the furniture around it.
If your room changes dramatically between day and evening, save or revisit the setting that works for the time you most often enjoy Art Mode.
Make the change in small steps and give your eyes a minute to settle between adjustments. What looks impressive in a settings menu can look harsh beside a neutral wall, timber furniture or warm lamps.
Use the ambient sensor thoughtfully
Samsung Frame models vary, but ambient adjustments can help a display respond to changing light. If the screen still feels bright at night, lower the overall level manually.
It is worth checking the result at two different times of day. A setting that looks perfect in strong daylight can become the brightest object in the room after sunset, especially in a bedroom or a living room with lamps switched off.
