Technically, many images can be displayed on a television. The better question is whether the image will look composed, sharp and comfortable in the room.

Check the file ratio

A 16:9 image is the safest starting point for a Frame TV. Other ratios may be cropped or surrounded by empty space, changing the intended composition.

Check the resolution

A high-resolution source gives a 4K screen enough information to show brushwork, edges and subtle gradients cleanly. Avoid images that have already been compressed for social media.

Check the rights

Displaying an image privately is different from redistributing it. Use artwork you created, licensed or purchased with the right to display it, and keep download files private unless the licence says otherwise.
